PART ONE - ADI theory test
In November 2002, the new theory test was introduced and consists of two parts. The first is a multiple-choice. There are 100 questions of which you need to attain 20 marks in 4 main areas (a minimum of 80% in each main area) and an overall pass mark of 85% to pass. The second is the hazard perception element. There is 14 video hazard clips. You must score 57 out of 75 to pass. You must achieve both parts of the test at the same time to pass. Once you have been successful, you then have a period of 2 years to achieve the next two tests. You may take the theory test as many times as it takes to pass at a current price of £50* for each attempt.
